Francoeur in lineup, batting fifth

And here’s the lineup for the Mets tonight:
Angel Pagan, CF
Luis Castillo, 2B
David Wright, 3B
Gary Sheffield, LF
Jeff Francoeur, RF
Daniel Murphy, 1B
Omir Santos, C
Alex Cora, SS
Johan Santana, P

It’s Johan vs. Johnny Cueto, the promising young righty for the Reds. He allowed nine runs (all earned) in just 2/3 of an inning against the Phillies earlier this week, which of course means he’ll pitch well tonight. Call me crazy, but I have a feeling the Mets win this one. Johan on the mound, a new right fielder, I don’t know. I’m optimistic. In other Mets news, if you can call it that, New York signed 2003 Rookie of the Year and since crappy Angel Berroa, assigning him to AAA Buffalo. Berroa played sparingly for the Yanks this year, after playing a little bit for the Dodgers last year. This guy’s not good, but he would be an upgrade over Argenis Reyes, although any warm body could accomplish that. Mets also sent Nick Evans down to make room for Francoeur.
