Roddick advances to quarters

Posted: June 29, 2009 in Odds and Sods

American Andy Roddick breezed to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, crushing Tomas Berdych in straight sets.
Roddick next gets a revitalized Lleyton Hewitt for a spot in the semifinals.
Although Hewitt has certainly turned the clock back a bit, Roddick has won four straight times against him and the American is playing well this year. Roddick in straight sets, as he continues his long pursuit of that second major championship.

Nice post, I wouldn’t mind seeing Roddick go all the way, i just really don’t wanna see Federer win again, or even make it to the semi’s for that matter, he has not been beaten in a Grand slam before the semis in over 5 years.

I’m a big Sampras fan, so I definitely wouldn’t mind to see him share the Grand Slam titles lead a little longer.
