Macca touring this summer

Posted: June 25, 2009 in Beatles

What started out as a few dates at the Mets’ Citifield in July (the first concerts to be put on at the ballpark) has turned into a full-blown U.S. tour for Sir Paul McCartney. My brother Carl and I saw Macca back in 2005 care of tickets scored by one of my co-workers Tim Aten (thanks again Tim), and it was well worth the price of admission to see a living legend. McCartney delighted with a mixture of Beatles, Wings and solo offerings, still offering boundless energy at the then-age of 63. Now 67, he’s showing no signs of stopping. I’m really hoping my dad can see him this time out, as it was my dad who got me into Beatles and McCartney music basically at birth. Who knows how many more times Macca will be out there, so try and see him if you can!

Here are the dates so far plus a link to McCartney’s web site, where more dates will be added….

July 17 – New York, Citi Field
July 18 – New York, Citi Field
July 21 – New York, Citi Field
August 1 – Washington, FedExField
August 5 – Boston, Fenway Park
August 6 – Boston, Fenway Park
August 15 – Atlanta, Piedmont Park
